Learning & Development Advisor – Human Resources Full Time Permanent

Implement the Learning and Development strategy. Develop, co-ordinate and deliver an impactful learning and development offering; supporting people in their progression and learning journeys by creating new and relevant opportunities to learn.

Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Instructional design

• Execute and or maintain content and instructional design requests. Design and create content, using relevant content creation platforms to publish in-house material on the Learner Management System (LMS)

Program delivery

• Collaborate with line managers to identify skills gaps and align with HR colleagues on the appropriate development intervention and program content
• Ensure the successful execution of the management development, leadership, and commercial development programs including the delivery of content and coordination of facilitators
• Source external suppliers to augment the inhouse delivery where required

System Management

• Assume accountability for managing the LMS
• Train and coach LMS users, compile user training material and implement ad hoc initiatives to close any knowledge gaps and improve the skills of the users
• Agree processes and ways of working to ensure the integrity of the data stored
• Ensure system maintenance and good governance
• Select external sources of content and create bespoke content to host on the LMS

Reporting

• Responsible for reporting cadence. Publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly learning reports
• Monitor learner activity and make recommendations based on report findings and statistics

Talent and Development Projects

• Assume accountability for all and any assigned talent and development projects (e.g. commercial development, company induction and onboarding)

Additional requirements

• Maintain knowledge of learning and development best practice and current trends
• Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance administrative processes and procedures, and offer viable solutions
• Keep abreast of updates to the company’s policies and procedures ensuring consistent adherence and compliance
• Comply with Health & Safety Regulations
• Assume responsibility for own personal development
• Complete mandatory training on time
• Adhere to General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) and policies
• Assume responsibility for smooth running of front of house reception when necessary

Person Specification:

• Strong professional communication skills with the ability to communicate at various levels within the company
• Adaptability and an ability to multitask. Previous experience of managing Talent Attraction and Development initiatives would be advantageous
• A passion for detail
• Good decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service
• Ability to plan, organise, follow-up and follow-through to task completion
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Previous experience of co-creation activities with HR colleagues
• Work collaboratively with the HR Team to support and contribute towards the People plan.

Education / Qualifications required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• A level or equivalent and GSCE English and Mathematics is essential
• A degree or three years’ Talent and Development experience is essential
• Familiar with regulations and governance pertaining to Learning and Development in the UK and Europe
• Experience of working with a LMS – Kallidus would be an advantage
